April 13th, 1999 Inprise is at it again, making news, bad if not good!! On March 30th Inprise annouced the resignation of Del Yocam, CEO and Kathleen Fisher CFO. No explanation was given. Well, today they clarified that the head man, Yocam was asked to leave by the board of directors. Inprise is also expecting lower than expected earnings, in fact they are going to report a loss! The share price has been down.... and down... and down... The folks at Inprise think that it's a good thing. In fact some believe that it is worth the money they will save in Del and Kathleen's salaries! You can read and discuss more about it here. March 25th, 1999 HTTP Server Not Responding!! Does that sound familiar? For the last few weeks Delphi32.com HTTP Server would stop responding all of a sudden. After lots of debugging, the root of the problem was found. Every time a visitor tried to execute a cgi (that file may not even exist on the server), PERL.exe would start a new instance (as .cgi extension was associated with PERL.EXE). As the number of instances of Perl.exe would go up it would take up almost all the resources available to the site. So, we have removed all the cgi's and also removed the association of .cgi with Perl.exe bringing an end to this problem. March 8th, 1999 The Online Special Interest Groups are back again!! After a software upgrade the forums are back again. To view existing messages and post new messages please visit The Online Special Interest Groups February 26th, 1999 Site is up and running again!! For the last few days we were having some problems on the server side. Finally the problems have been resolved and now the site will stay up and running!! Thanks for you patience.
