A surprising news came up at the recent Icon'98
(formerly Borconn'98). While attending one of the product sessions Leo Singh learned that Inprise plans to generate Java code with Delphi! Delphi's only drawback was 'Wintel-Micorsoft' dependendence! Delphi is also very successful because no one does Wintel better. I think this is a great news for all of us Delphi hacks who can use the skills we already know and develop real cross-platform solutions. How Inprise actually pulls this off is yet to be seen.
