Description:
VIRT is a powerful object-oriented programming language which was specially developed for the solving of Artificial Intelligence problems. It suits well for the theorem proving, symbolic differentiation, interpreter writing, backtracking, etc. However, at the same time VIRT is quite suitable for traditional tasks, for example, such as the numerical methods. Therefore it provides the indivisible language environment for the integration various data domains.
The VIRT language is able:
  • to ensure the abstract !data type support and paradigmes of OOP such as encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism;
  • using VIRT to process the dynamics data structures such as lists and trees easily, VIRT allows to work with dynamics data structures without pointers;
  • to support such conceptions as recursion, lazy evaluation, corutines;
  • to set semantics of the standard operations "+", "-", ... at run-time;
