Description:
DateEdit and DBDateEDit components allow dates to be entered in the format setup in Winows "Regional Settings", eg "day/month/year", "year/month/day" etc. One or two digits can be entered for day and month, followed by the separator set up in Windows (eg "/"). "Year" can be entered as two digits, and is converted to 4 digits as determined by the two new Properties "NewCentury" and "NewCentYear". The entered date is checked for validity and formatted correctly. Public Property "Date" is also defined to allow the date to be read or set programmatically. One new Event, "OnValidDate" is activated when a complete valid date has been entered, if assigned. The inherited standard "OnChange" event has been modified to call the "OnValidDate" event, if it has been assigned. This is useful if the date is updated programmatically. Additional features include shortcut keystrokes to allow quick entry of today's date, today's date plus "nn" days, and today's date plus "nn" months. The + and -, and up and down arrow keys can be used to increment or decrement day, month or year sub-fields.
