Description:
This component allows you to maintain a list of recently used files as child items of a Delphi TMenuItem. A common use of this component would be to keep a number of recently used files under your 'File' menu, similar to Microsoft Word, for example. The component does most of the work for you, and can easily be added to projects without altering your existing code. You specify the TMenuItem to use, number of files to keep in the list, and what action to take (by writing the event handler) when the user chooses one of the menu items.
The list of most recently used files is stored in an external file formatted like a Windows '.ini' file. You will specify the file name in which to store the most recently used files. This implies that you can use the same file for multiple applications/forms.
A demo is included that illustrates how to use the component. Full source code for the component is also included.
